Enniskillen bags 'rules' win at Punchestown
He deserved that as he's always the bridesmaid and never the bride. Now he's the bride today,. It's not that he's a great horse but everyone backs him each-way and he's always there or thereabouts but still never gives me a winner. (My partner) Caroline said to me this morning that he'd win this one but I said 'no he won't'. He had it won one year and ran off the bend. That's him he could go anywhere or do anything. He didn't let me down and deserved that. I was going mad as there was no rain for the La Touche and I really fancy Mtada Supreme. One of my friends said 'there are other racecourse you can train winners on you know' but I said 'no there isn't, this is the only place to get the winners'.

Western enjoys better luck at Punchestown
That was great. He's a lucky horse to be here at all because last year he got brought down and his sinus and all that part of his nose was broken,. He was going well but got an awful fall. He didn't just slip up, a horse kicked him in the head as well. They did a great job to get him back. I'm very happy with him. He has a great cruising speed but it takes a lot to put it together. He'd often be going well and land on top of a hurdle and it would be all over. It's nice when it comes together once. He was a great horse (as a novice) but his jumping let him down. His jumping left him down at Cheltenham that year, when he was beaten ten lengths by Vautour, he nearly ended up out in the carpark. He just needs everything to go right for him. Jumping has always been a problem but it was good today.

Norton storms home to land Champion Chase
It's been on our minds ever since Cheltenham and Aintree 'are we going one step too far',. He's just progressed into a beautiful young horse. Obviously this is his minimum trip but he was good enough to win this and very nearly win a Champion Chase. This just looked lovely (for him). He did had three months off in the middle of the season when he cut into himself at Cheltenham so it's not like he's been on the go all the time. He's the one horse we thought we could bring here and he's shown it all. You've got to stay in every race and he's got that about him. Luckily enough when he came on the market Alan and Ann Potts wanted the horse. It doesn't always turn out but he has. Robbie was cool. He didn't get involved in any battles until he had to. The horse made a few mistakes and Robbie said he was going flat out the whole time. If you saw this horse on the gallops you'd never think he was a champion two miler. Honestly slow three milers would beat him. This is why we get up in the morning and why we go looking at horses to come and win at places like Punchestown. It's fantastic.

It's a nice pot. It's hard to do it but we got there anyway,. It meant more this year probably than last year because we were unlucky enough to lose last year's winner. So it was very special to come back and win it again. He had an accident out in the field and was a very nice horse. We actually bought him off the same vendor, Norman Williamson, as last year. We'll never get three out of them so we better look for a horse for next year!. He always worked nice, travelled well in his work, and stayed. He'll probably be better off over two-and-a-half although it didn't look like that today. He just travelled so well and fair play to Philip Enright he said he always rode like a bumper horse the way he travels. We were hoping to get a run into him and even had him entered in a point-to-point, he jumps well, but the horses were kind of out of sorts the time Midnight Stroll went to Newbury. I ran four or five in Cork and each one ran worse than the other. Only for I was on the boat to Newbury I probably would have turned home. He would have had a run around that time only for that. We just had to back off for a couple of weeks with him. He jumps well and he's by a very good sire.
