Draconien springs 25/1 shock as Getabird well beaten

It looked like there was too much pace up the front for Getabird and everyone took him on. They've all paid the penalty and Draconien came through,. Noel got off him in Fairyhouse and said he wanted to ride him differently and on better ground and that's exactly what happened today. There was so much pace today, there was no pace in Fairyhouse, and that played into his hands and he jumped fantastic as well. He's a good horse, we thought he was in the beginning and then he lost his way a bit. He's back to himself again. He'll probably go to grass now or we might actually bring him back to Paris for something like the Prix La Barka. We'll see as he's not a horse that's going to take a lot of racing but he has very little racing this year. He could do that or go out for the summer.

He’s a nice horse and a big thanks goes to Pat Doyle who trained him to win a point-to-point. Michael and Eddie said if he’s good enough to take to the Land Rover then take him. I only have him from the week after he won his point-to-point. I haven’t galloped him, just cantered him away. Pat did all the hard work with him. He’ll be a nice horse with a summer’s grass, and it’s a good result to get the 1-2-3.

I don't what happened. We got a bit of luck on our side and we needed it with the way the day started off,. It's going to be ding dong for the week and it just shows what can happen. I don't know what happened to Paul Townend, it all happened that quick. I was standing at the last and when I saw Paul going I wasn't sure if it had been bypassed. It worked out great for me so I can't complain. He's won a Grade 1 now and won at Cheltenham. The Sloans are massive supporters of the yard so I'm delighted for them. If it's like this for the week it'll be interesting anyway!

Mullins completes double in finale

That was unbelievable,. He showed us an awful lot after being broken and we got him sold. The heavy winter and the heavy gallops were so hard on him. It was a setback and he kind of went off I'd say. He worked well last week up the Curragh but he wasn't showing it at home afterwards. I thought if he had a nice run I'd be happy, fourth I'd be extremely happy. Patrick said he couldn't even pull him up. It's nice to get an odd surprise. I thought he might be free, all my horses are free in bumpers because we work up a straight and I said to him to drop him out. He dropped him out nowhere. He was riding that for his grand-father. His grand-father won the Oaks on this fellas grand-mother. He'll go hurdling next year I'd say. I'll give him a break now. Robbie Kenneally, who has a share in him, his father was buried today and I'd say his father was helping him on. Robbie and all his owners are at the funeral.
