He has great heart, great will to win, which is a big help as the ground is hard work . testing. Cheltenham and Fairyhouse were brilliant and now this . it's out of this world. I'm thrilled for the girl that looks after him. A Grade 1 is a Grade 1 and it's fantastic to win one at Punchestown. We would have settled for third turning in and I said at that stage that we'd gone one step too far by coming here. We didn't really have anything to lose though and he is obviously a real tough sort. Fair dues to him, he fought it out from the last and Tony felt at that stage that the other horse (Trifolium) was coming back to him.

58 & a half to one double for Tom Mullins
We always thought a lot of him but we thought he was still babyish. His class won it for him. He'll come on a lot mentally and physically . he's a big horse with a lot of strengthening up to do. I'd say he'd go around again, he came back in that fresh. He took it up a bit too early and he must be a hell of a horse on what he's done today with all the hot-pots that were in it.
Sir Des Champs survives last fence scare
He was fortunate (at the last) just watching it again there and Davy did well to stay on. That's his first Grade 1 and I didn't mind the fact that he jumped left . that was just from being in front on his own. He'd schooled well out in front before and as we knew there'd be no pace we knew we'd have to go on. We didn't learn anything new today other than that he gets three miles. Davy said he was always cantering. He's a very relaxed horse and I think that'll be a big help to him later in his career.
