Zest lands gamble in Punchestown opener
That was great. It's great to get a winner for this man,. We set out to make him into a cross country horse but everytime we brought him here he got loose or did something silly. Miss Carberry came to the fore again. He loves this ground and could come back here on Saturday. The lads say the ground on the cross country is lovely. We were a bit worried about it for L'Ami and Garde Champetre. We'll see now what ones run on Thursday.

I might go chasing with him and keep his handicap mark over hurdles. He could be aimed at the Galway Hurdle,. He likes good ground. Davy said it wasn't quick and they've done a good job with it. He won at Dundalk and Fran (Berry) said he loved that - and that's real quick. He deserves that as he had kept going up in the handicap for being placed.

Rhapsody sweet music for Rothwell
He's a gorgeous horse. Richard Walshe has been an unlucky owner and it's great for him,. My brother Ronan broke him after the Land Rover last year and said of all the horses he's broken that this horse was mighty. I'm delighted. I said to Richard that's he's a big weak baby as he was born in June. He's only had one canter on grass, when he worked with Rathlin, and I was pleased with what he did. He hasn't eaten the last few days and was only on hay and grass. He's a big baby and had done enough work. I think he'll be a lovely horse next year and today is just a bonus.

Golden moment for Silver in Champion Chase
Unfortunately Mr and Mrs O'Leary couldn't be here because of a family bereavement. Mrs O'Leary's brother died so condolences to them,. He just keeps improving. We decided to change the tactics and wait a bit longer with him rather than force the pace. It paid off. We thought after Cheltenham that we made too much use of him so we decided to see if his class would come through and it did. He's really enjoying his racing. Scotsirish was a bit unlucky after making a mistake two out. It was a good effort considering he carried top-weight in the Topham at Aintree last time. Barker was also a bit unlucky to get a fall as he was running a good race.

Kempes completes Mullins hat-trick
I'm delighted with that. I was very disappointed with him at Fairyhouse when he pulled up in the Powers Gold Cup,. I thought he had a right chance then but I think the heavy ground just killed him. Tony said he was a lot happier on this ground. The fact that he won over three miles opens up the whole thing. He could do anything he wants now. He has plenty of pace for shorter but the pace over three miles suits his jumping. Probably the better ground is the key to him. We'll look forward to good ground races.
That was impressive. All my four-year-olds this season have finished in the first three and we were waiting on good ground for him,. My other Black Sam Bellamy was second at Fairyhouse and he's of a similar ilk so I did fancy him. We'll be looking for a set of different colours for him now!
