Elliott eyes black type for Smiling Eliza
She’s honest and she tries. There is a mares’ Listed hurdle at Aintree she could go for and we’ll try and get some black type. She’s done more than we ever expected her to do. We’ll keep her going while the ground is good and she wouldn’t run on real winter heavy ground. Elysian Plains bolted going to the start and did the same for Rachael (Blackmore) at Gowran the last day. We may look at going back to the Flat with him.

Walsh back in winning groove on My Sister Sarah
It’s nice to have Ruby back and we think that mare has a future. We’ll keep her to novice races and be looking at some bigger races in time. She has a lovely pedigree that includes Long Run so stamina shouldn’t be any problem. Hopefully she’ll improve her hurdling. She was just losing a little ground but was good and safe. She is not the biggest in the world but should go on soft ground. We’ll keep her going as long as we can and maybe give her a break before the Festivals if we need to.

Messie shows his nimble footwork in Punchestown
He’s been fierce consistent and if the ground went his year was over. I was just lucky the ground stayed good and it was great to get a winner. Paul and Mary (McEvoy) bred him. They are lovely people from Cloughjordan and that is their first winner. Davy was saying to get him out quick as once they win one of those handicaps they might win two.

Kildorrery comes home best in beginners' chase
If he just would behave himself before a race he’d be grand. You have to give lengths away at the start but if you rode him over the first couple of fences he might run himself out. He likes the ground and he jumps and has plenty of pace. He’s won his novice so he’ll come back here for the (Grade 2) Craddockstown next month (November 18). He’s a bad traveller and kicked down the box when we were taking him to Tipperary last week, so we had to turn around and come home with him. Naas, Punchestown, Fairyhouse and Leopardstown is about as far as you could travel with him!

Tikkanen Express not for stopping in Kildare
That’s brilliant and it isn’t easy to get winners around here. He’s a horse we’ve always liked. He’s not straightforward and is not easy to train, he’s not easy to ride. Danny gave him a great ride, they left him along in front and I think that was probably a big part of it. He was able to use his jumping and get relaxed. We’ve been wanting to step up in trip for a long time but he just wasn’t settling well enough. Philip Enright, who normally rides him, is hurt but he’s done a great job settling him and I think that told today.

Royal Illusion brings up Mullins' double
Even though she is a six-year-old she had done very little. She was backward enough, so what she did today was on natural ability and we think she will improve. She was very green on all the turns and when Patrick got stuck into her.
