Rock an easy winner of Punchestown opener
He was entitled to do that. Maybe the ground was a bit heavy for him the last day and maybe he didn't totally stay. It is lovely ground out there and he put that behind him.

Impulse impresses on first start for Walsh
He did it well. He had a good run in Naas and the winner (Free Expression) won a graded race since so he upheld that form. He jumped great and Harry Kelly said he would. Bryan Cooper, who rode him in Naas, also said he jumped well. He'll jump a fence in time. He's a grand horse, no superstar, but if he stays sound and goes the right way he'll make a nice three-mile chaser.

He'll probably run in another handicap at Christmas. We'll keep him going while he's going well. He probably appreciated that slightly better ground,.

Don the Durkan hero under O'Connell
That's great. He deserves that in fairness to him. He's always gotten plenty of stick and people have said he's been disappointing but he's a dual Grade 1 winner now. I'll have to talk to Michael and Eddie but if I had my way he wouldn't run until Cheltenham and go straight for the Ryanair. I have to discuss it with the owners as they have a lot of horses. He won't go to the King George. He's a year older now which makes a difference but he was never a bad horse last year and things didn't work out for him. He might have had a bit much last year and we'll try and train him differently. He had to do it the hard way today. They all came to beat him but he picked up and galloped all the way to the line.

Beach gives Elliott quick double
He's a fair horse this fella and I've always liked him. I think he'll be even better on soft ground,. He's in all the novices over Christmas but I'll have to chat with Chris as he's away for Christmas. He's a good big staying horse and the further he goes the better. Something like the four-miler at Cheltenham would do me nicely. I know Willie's horse made a bad mistake but I think our fella is a nice horse.

Paddy Power next up for quirky Jesture
He has so much class this fella but it's trying to get him to produce it. I'm delighted with that on his first run back and Johnny gave him a super ride. He'll go for the Paddy Power now. We'll give it a whirl and see how he gets on. When he's short he's not amazing and he has no regard for his fences. He's funny and a real character. We had to reverse him into the ring today to get him in. He has his own way of doing things. If he stops at home we just have to turn and go back to the yard with him.

Livelovelaugh completes Mullins four-timer
He's a lazy horse. Patrick decided he'd make plenty of use of him if nothing else did but there was plenty of pace as it turned out. He's a staying type of horse and we'll probably go for a winners bumper.
