Chosen Hour wins Punchestown's opener
he was rated 109 over hurdles so it was an ideal race for him. Where we go now I don’t know but there is a few options for him. He’s been a lucky horse so far.

Mullins mulling options for Carefully Selected
this race wasn’t the plan and I wanted to get experience into him because he missed running at Leopardstown. He was careful when he needed to be and got some good jumps when Paul wanted him. He learned a lot today and we are very happy with him. He didn’t get too hard a race there. I hadn’t planned running at the Dublin Racing Festival but maybe he could go for something just after that, before Cheltenham. The way he went around there the National Hunt Chase would be right up his street but we have to keep the RSA open as well. I’d like to get another run into him before then and the Ten Up at Navan is a possibility. I often think it’s too near Cheltenham but this fella doesn’t take too much out of himself racing.

Ryan rides first winner for Tom Mullins
he’s a grand horse, is easy to train and loves jumping. He’s progressed nicely through the season to win today. He’s not over big so maybe on better ground in the spring he might improve again.

Andy Dufresne erases memory of defeat with Grade 2 win
he got beat by a good horse of Paul Nolan’s (Latest Exhibition) the last day in Navan where he probably outstayed us but that was more like it today. Mark (Walsh) said the inside track was tight enough for him here over two miles. He took a bit of organising around the last bend but when he straightened up he jumped the last well. He galloped to the line and has won over two and a half.

Jockey Enright makes winning debut for trainer Paul Nolan
we were going to wait for three miles as I was worried about the tightness of the track. She was off the bridle the whole way in Fairyhouse the last day and Sean O’Keeffe said you may step her up in trip. In fairness she went away and won it. It’s job done.

Last-race compensation for De Bromhead and Blackmore
he’s a horse we’ve always liked and always worked like a good horse but he’s just taken a bit of time. He’s a big fella and is a half-brother to Le Richebourg and Grands Crus so he has a savage pedigree. We said to Rachael to give him time and let him settle and see how you go. It worked out well as they went a good gallop and got a bit tired near the end. She said he was still a bit green when he hit the front and should improve plenty. Whatever he does over hurdles, fences should be his game.
