The application of blinkers helped Winter Magic recapture winning form in the Kilfeacle Stud Handicap Chase at Tipperary.

Jimmy Mangan's gelding has been disappointing since scoring at Punchestown in December, but Davy Russell was confident enough to send him about his business on the turn for home.

He was awkward over two out and Nimdani was a persistent threat, but the 6-1 shot never really looked like being caught and passed the post a length to the good.< Conrad Hastings (10-1) made a successful start to his career in the Hotel Minella Maiden Hurdle.

Henry de Bromhead's five-year-old didn't run in point-to-points or bumpers but cost 60,000 euros a couple of years ago and appears capable of recouping that investment sooner rather than later after seeing off odds-on favourite Dont Kick Nor Bite by 10 lengths.

Barry Geraghty may have been out of luck on Dont Kick Nor Bite but he soon went one better on Scoir Mear in the Ryans Cleaning Event Specialists Handicap Hurdle (Div 1).

Tom Mullins' 4-1 favourite kept excellent company early in his jumping career but was better suited to this test, beating Theo by a couple of lengths.

Mullins also won the second division courtesy of Spider Web also carrying the colours of JP McManus, who justified 6-4 favouritism in the hands of Mark Walsh.< Stoughan Cross showed a likeable attitude to come out on top in the Kedrah House Stud 'Well Chosen' Beginners Chase.

The 66-1 chance looked a sitting duck when turning into the straight with the strong-travelling Roll It Out hot on his heels, but he responded better to pressure than his opponent and stayed on for a three-quarter-length call.< Hurricane Ben (4-6 favourite) backed up his recent Tramore success with a facile victory in the Glenview And Rathbarry Stud Novice Hunters Chase, while Miss Eyecatcher took the p2p.ie New Mobile Site Mares Point-To-Point Flat Race.
