< Listen Dear was given a little bit of a fright at Thurles but had more than enough quality to make it two from two over fences.

With just one rival to beat in the Holycross Mares Chase after the withdrawals of Presenting Mahler and Monbeg Rose Willie Mullins' Grade Three-winning hurdler was sent off the 1-12 favourite to see off Thanks For Tea

Ruby Walsh bounced her out in front and, a couple of slight mistakes aside, she was exuberant at her fences and although Thanks For Tea closed up at the last, Walsh didn't have to get too serious to score by a cosy half-length.

Walsh followed up when steering the Gordon Elliott-trained 9-10 favourite Dounikos home in the Thurles.ie Maiden Hurdle, and Elliott completed a brace of his own when Hardline took the Toboradora Flat Race.< Teacher's Pet is on a rapid upward curve and backed up her recent Downpatrick triumph with victory in the Ballagh Mares Handicap Hurdle.

The 4-1 favourite took the lead from Khalessi upon landing over two out and she sprinted clear when Luke Dempsey pressed the button, crossing the line with five and a half lengths in hand of Court Challenge < Bridge Native gained a deserved victory in the Templemore Mares Maiden Hurdle.

Dot Love's 7-2 chance made the frame in five of her seven bumpers, most recently when third at Wexford on Sunday, and stepped up for the switch to timber to see off Moonlit Theatre by two and three-quarter lengths.< Kilcarry Bridge ran out a determined winner of the Thurles Beginners Chase.

Having set the pace, the 3-1 chance was challenged for the lead by Bringerofthedawn three out, only to jump the next much the better, and that helped seal a four-length verdict.< Game Puppeteer (10-1), trained and ridden by Paul Power, prevailed in a thrilling finish to the Two-Mile Borris Handicap Hurdle.
