Ohh Lala hits the front in Sligo

< Ohh Lala made it third-time lucky in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden at Sligo.
Willie McCreery's filly made great strides between her first couple of starts to finish third at Fairyhouse, and was sent off the 5-2 market leader on the back of that.
She tracked the front-running Spirit Of Wedza who stole a march straightening up, but Ohh Lala knuckled down in the hands of Leigh Roche and stayed on best for a two-and-a-quarter-length call.< Flic Flac (3-1) defied top weight in the countysligoraces.com Fillies Handicap.
Dermot Weld freshened his mare up after a dismal effort in testing conditions at Cork in early April and after taking the lead at the furlong marker, she was kept up to her work by Pat Smullen to beat Almosthaditall by three-quarters of a length.
Weld and Smullen were responsible for the odds-on favourite Truthwillsetufree in the Kilcawley Construction Sligo Race, but she had to settle for second behind Queen Of Alba
Smullen was hard at work on the market leader from some way out and although she responded to pressure, she couldn't quite reel in the winner, who struck by a length and a half as a 6-1 chance.< Three Bells (5-2 favourite) didn't enjoy a great deal of luck at Fairyhouse last month, but the handicapper still took a chance by dropping him 2lb and he took full advantage by running out a five-length winner of the Pet Stop Discount Warehouse And Fuel Centre Carrarie Sligo Handicap.< Positive Vibes antics prior to the Family Day 13th July At Sligo Claiming Race led to his withdrawal, and that gave Waydownsouth an easier assignment than may have been expected.
Pat Flynn's seven-year-old took up the running inside the final furlong and kept on to beat Burnt Sienna by two and a half lengths as the 4-7 favourite.
