Chris Hayes completed a double at Navan with a last-gasp success aboard I'll Be Your Clown in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Nasrullah' Handicap.
Colin Keane made a bold move on Unsinkable at the three-furlong marker, kicking clear after travelling well, but the alarm bells were ringing when he started to tread water a furlong out.
I'll Be Your Clown was the first to get to the leader and Hayes drove the 13-2 chance to get up on the line, just ahead of Unsinkable, with the flying finish of Shalaman only good enough for third.
Hayes got the ball rolling when Lady Allegra showed plenty of speed to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.
Patrick Prendergast's 9-4 chance was running back quickly after finishing second on her debut on Sunday, but showed no ill-effects, stretching clear in the final furlong to beat the front-running Dr Doro by two and a quarter lengths.
Jim Bolger may have been out of luck with Lucida in the Falmouth at Newmarket, but his winning run closer to home continued when Tapering landed the Country And Western Evening Claiming Race.
Ronan Whelan pushed the 11-4 chance into a commanding lead a furlong out and he stretched away to score by two and a quarter lengths from Park Rebel < Anonymous Lady ran out an emphatic winner of the American Country Music Show After Racing Handicap.
Adrian Keatley's 7-4 favourite was held up by Sean Corby, but once asked for maximum effort she breezed past leader Stinky Socks and ran away from her rivals to beat the staying-on Trust Your Opinion by three and a quarter lengths.
Garvan Donnelly's sprinter Catwilldo (7-2) followed up her recent Bellewstown success with victory under Robbie Downey in the Navan Members Apprentice Handicap.
Ger Lyons and Colin Keane may have had to settle for an agonising second in the big race with Unsinkable, but made no mistake in the Lynn Lodge Stud Maiden courtesy of Initsari (11-4).
