Review kilbeggan 21st Apr
Aaron Murphy gave Lucky Pat (9-1) an enterprising ride to land the Sean Hughes Memorial Handicap Chase at Kilbeggan.
The Dot Love-trained novice had a 141-day absence to overcome and was saddled with top weight against more seasoned chasers.
He jumped for fun at the head of affairs, though, with Murphy stealing an advantage some way out that was never to be relinquished, and Lucky Pat passed the post with three and a half lengths in hand of Stonehall Jack
Sunday's Fairyhouse winner Fridaynightlights defied the quick turnaround and a 10lb rise to follow up in the Summer Party Pack Handicap Hurdle.
The Gordon Elliott-trained 11-8 favourite had to work hard to get his head in front at the final flight but he finished strongly to see off the front-running My Betty by two and a quarter lengths in the hands of amateur Anthony Fox.
Elliott was also on the mark courtesy of Isabella Liberty in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase.< At Rainbow's End appeared to have matters sewn up when shooting clear between the last two, but Jack Kennedy didn't give up on Isabella Liberty (100-30), who got up close home to prevail by three-quarters of a length.< Hidden Charmer made a successful return to action in the Follow Kilbeggan On Facebook Maiden Hurdle.
The 10-1 chance had been off since November but made his move after jumping two out and swept to a six-and-a-half-length defeat of Great Khan
Just two were in contention heading to the last in the Follow Kilbeggan On Twitter Maiden Hurdle, but Creative Talent got away from it quicker than Icario and proved a length and a quarter too strong at odds of 5-2.
Jockey Paul Townend doubled up on Prince Garyantle (4-1) in the Mullingar Handicap Hurdle, while Ben Brody and Lambs Lane had to share the spoils in the Loughnagore Flat Race, with the judge unable to split them.
