< The Sneezer ran his rivals ragged from the front to take the feature Shamrock Handicap Chase at Gowran Park.
Adrian Heskin had the opposition well strung out from a long way out on Tom Nagle's nine-year-old, who was wearing blinkers for the first time as he landed his third course victory, including in this race last season.< Uncle Tom Cobley was the only one able to keep tabs on the 15-2 chance for most of the way, but he eventually faded into third as Jack Absolute took the runner-up berth, a massive 20 lengths in arrears.
There was a dramatic conclusion to the Thomastown Beginners Chase won by the Kieran Purcell-trained long-time leader Steele's Rock (5-2).
Tom Doyle had the race sewn up going to the last, but Steele's Rock ploughed through it and almost came down, leaving the jockey hanging on without his feet in the irons.
That presented Gagewell Flyer with a great chance, but the odds-on favourite fell and Steele's Rock got going again and eased over the line with 20 lengths in hand.< Maggie Neary arrived at the 'Tetratema -Son Of The Tetrarch' Maiden Hurdle fresh from two victories on the level at Dundalk and completed the treble in pleasing style in the hands of Robbie Power.
The Jessie Harrington-trained filly (4-1), who is bound for the United States, travelled nicely into contention at the second-last and took the final flight alongside Gentleman Duke before easing away to score by two and a quarter lengths.
Charles O'Brien's Double Double (9-4 joint-favourite) ended a bout of 'seconditis' by coming out best in a battle with Its The Ice I Like to take the Great Oak Maiden Hurdle by a neck under Andrew McNamara.
There was plenty of support for Owennacurra Milan in the Goresbridge Handicap Hurdle and Mary Louise Hallahan's 5-2 favourite cantered into contention in the straight before being pushed clear after the last by Rob Jones to win by two lengths.
