The 5-1 chance passed the post eased down to beat Shamiran by seven lengths, picking up 36,000 euros for connections and rewarding Hogan for his enterprise.< Wellforth put in a fine performance to finish fourth on Tuesday and was another to win after turning out again quickly, landing the Guinness Galway Blazers Handicap Chase.

Barry Geraghty held a share of the lead with a circuit to go on Paul Gilligan's 5-1 shot and after taking the last in front, Wellforth cleared away to beat Agus A Vic by four and a quarter lengths.

There's no stopping Dermot Weld and the king of Ballybrit sent out another two winners, taking his tally for the meeting to eight. Both were ridden by Pat Smullen.

First newcomer Muaanid (4-1) moved powerfully into the lead coming off the final bend in the Guinness 17:59 EBF Median Auction Maiden and won by a length and a quarter, then Pale Mimosa (4-6 favourite) swamped the opposition by 15 lengths in the Guinness EBF Maiden.

The duo came desperately close to a treble when Stuccodor s late charge came up short by a head behind Danny Grant on the Pat Flynn-trained South South West (8-1) in the Arthur Guinness Handicap.< Muzak (11-1) had been placed in his last five outings and ended that sequence in emphatic style by winning the Guinness (QR) Handicap Hurdle by six lengths for John Monroe in the hands of Katie Walsh.

Dot Love's Shadow Eile (9-4), well beaten at the start of the week, stayed on stoutly to take the Guinness Race under Joseph O'Brien.
