Missunited has them all beaten in the Guinness Galway Hurdle

< Missunited gave trainer Mick Winters back-to-back victories in the Guinness Galway Hurdle with a resounding success.
The 7-1 shot was positively ridden by Robbie Power, although she looked a sitting duck when a host of fancied runners, including Flaxen Flare Ted Veale and Thomas Edison loomed up approaching the turn.
But she stuck her neck out gamely and passed the post three and three-quarter lengths clear of Flaxen Flare to emulate stable companion Rebel Fitz who lifted this prize 12 months ago.
Rebel Fitz returned for the Guinness Mid-Strength Novice Chase and although the testing conditions weren't in his favour, his class still shone through.
The 10-11 market leader jumped onto the heels of the leaders over the last two and Barry Geraghty eased him the front on the long run to the line, hardly breaking sweat to cross it three and three-quarter lengths ahead of Sizing Italy
Geraghty couldn't quite follow up when Our Man Zebo just failed to peg back the Willie Mullins-trained 11-10 favourite Bally Longford in the Arthur Guinness Projects Novice Hurdle.
The pick of the Flat action was the Guinness EBF Corrib Fillies Stakes, which saw Dermot Weld's Yellow Rosebud go one better than 12 months ago.
The even-money favourite was always to the fore under Pat Smullen, quickening clear at the top of the straight, and by the time Snow Queen got out and gave chase, the bird had flown, with Yellow Rosebud registering a two-and-three-quarter-length success.
Weld and Smullen were at it again when Treasure The Ridge justified 11-4 favouritism in the IRFU Charitable Trust Handicap, and the trainer completed a treble when Dont Tell No One (11-4) benefited from Giantofaman s waywardness in the closing stages of the Guinness Quarter Flat Race.
Festival regular Maundy Money (5-1 joint-favourite) completed a hat-trick in the Guinness Time Handicap, while Golden Wonder (5-1) accounted for odds-on favourite Spring Heeled in a dour battle for the Perfect Pint Beginners Chase.
