< Folsom Blue made it three wins on the bounce when taking the step up to Listed company in his stride in the Surehaul Mercedes-Benz Novice Hurdle at Clonmel.

Always travelling strongly for Davy Russell, the 2-1 favourite swept to the front on the turn for home and the result was never in doubt after that.< Castle Wings ran on into second between the final two flights, but Folsom Blue only had to be pushed out to record a nine-length success.

Willie Mullins fired two arrows in the Clonmel Festival Week Chase, but neither The Midnight Club or Cooldine could get involved in the battle up the home straight.

After taking it up over four from home, Trafford Lad kept up the gallop, but Leanne moved smoothly to get on his hind quarters two out.

Still slightly down at the last, the 6-1 chance found plenty for Bryan Cooper's pressure and got up late to score by three-quarters of a length.

Mullins had earlier grabbed victory in the Clonmel Festival Week Handicap Hurdle as Immediate Response (6-4 favourite) cruised to victory under the trainer's son Patrick.

Barry Geraghty was not hard pressed to get Alf Wright home in front in the Clonmel Festival Week Maiden Hurdle.

After reeling in tearaway leader Miradane at the second last, the 11-4 favourite sauntered clear to beat the running-on Flaming Pop by two and a half lengths.

Eddie Harty's Dressedtothenines caused a big upset when landing the Clonmel Festival Week Mares Novice Hurdle.

Niall Madden had just edged the 14-1 chance to the head of the field at the second last and though all five runners had a chance heading to the last, Dressedtothenines kept on strongly to six lengths clear of 11-10 joint-favourite Noras Fancy

Lar Butler's Odonimee (11-1) showed tremendous determination to make every yard in the Clonmel Festival Week Beginners Chase under Sean Flanagan.
