There was plenty of drama in the Extra Places On The BoyleSports App Mares Maiden Hurdle (DIV II) which eventually went the way of Yabo at Wexford.
Favourite Eversosaucy fell at the fifth, and Quaylago was running well on her debut, though held in third, when falling at the last.
Yabo with Sean Flanagan up, threatened to give it away to Westcoast Tiger as that one kept a straighter course.
However the successful daughter of Dylan Thomas, on her first outing since January, found enough at the finish to edge things by a nose.
"I'm delighted. She is locally trained and locally owned and bred by Ned Power. Ned is just down the road and he is a bit under the weather at the minute. He said he was going to look at it and I'm delighted for him,” said winning trainer Liz Doyle.
"She has a huge big long neck and it was definitely down going past the line. I didn't know whether we were in front but her neck was down.
"It was a poor race and she is a bit free so it was the best way (to go out in front). I thought there was only two or three in it so we kept it simple.
“She was a bit green and childish in front but that'll straighten her out a small bit.
“She would be better with a lead, and in a better race with a better gallop we might get her to switch off a bit. She is a nice big filly for the future.
"I'd say she'll go for a handicap now or maybe a rated novice. We'll keep it as small as we can."
The Stewards interviewed S.W. Flanagan, rider of Yabo, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found S. W. Flanagan in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency.
Having considered S. W. Flanagan's record in this regard the Stewards suspended S. W. Flanagan for two racedays.
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Milestone Girl trained by Michael McCullagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.
K.J. Brouder, rider of Thatlldo trained by R.P.Rath, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake six out and weakened quickly.
