Miss Vizeun went unclaimed for €6,000 today, having collected that same amount in winning Dundalk's opening Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming Race for trainer and full-time farrier Nigel Slevin.
Having her first start since finishing last at Killarney in August, the daughter of Cotai Glory scored a battling neck win over 45-rated Final Fantasy with a short-head to third-placed Nevada Queen
Slevin said "she has ability, was placed before and I thought she ran well in a three-year-old handicap in Leopardstown last year. She got jarred up towards the end of last year and we just had to give her a holiday.
"It came together today and we put her in if someone wants her as we have to keep moving them on. We'll see what happens.”
It was Slevin's first success since August and he added "we don't run loads of horses but it has been a long time between drinks! We only have 12 in.
“Adam (Caffrey, winning jockey) is good value for his claim. I shoe horses for Ado McGuinness, who is his boss and fair play to him for letting me have him.”
Runner-up Final Fantasy was the only horse claimed from the race, selling for €5,000 to Co Limerick based trainer Laura Hourigan.
