Well-Backed Brotenstown Gets Job Done

Sat 3rd Jan 2009, 15:58

Brotenstown (5/2 in the morning into 11/10) justified market confidence in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Beginners Chase under Johnny Allen. She scored by a length and three parts for owner/breeder, Martin Dibbs (the man who bred Grand National winner, Comply Or Die) and trainer Paul Cashman.

Cashman said: "She is a very honest filly, a pleasure to train. They went a proper gallop today. She got black-type the last day and her next run will be in Thurles for a Grade three two and a half mile chase. Hopefully she'll make a great broodmare some day and the better ground here was a help."
