The opening race this afternoon at The Curragh was won by the Dermot Weld trained Le Cadre Noir with Pat Smullen doing the steering for owner Riccardo Angioli.

Dermot Weld said afterwards, "He enjoys a little ease in the ground, he ran a cracker here on Derby day. He's not the easiest to keep sound so providing we can keep him right we'll try find a race before the year is out, we might go for a Group race with him."
