Voge s power-packed finish saw her take the honours in the concluding five-furlong maiden at the Curragh.

She was fifth with 100 yards to race but surged home under Oisin Orr to pick off Realt Rua close home.

The 6/1 chance won by a neck from the 5/1 runner-up. Littlevix the 9/4 favourite, also finished well for third, half a length away.

Trainer Eddie Lynam said: "In fairness to her, the last day I think it was reported that the saddle slipped but it never moved.

"I think what happened was she had a stalls blanket on and the number cloths they give you now are nearly as big as beach towels.

"I think when they pulled the blanket the cloth went back on her and gave her a fright because the saddle never moved. It was a one-off and thankfully she's won today.

"She's a half-sister to Steps and Mr Cohen likes to breed out of them, so she will be a nice filly for the paddocks. It's nice to win a Curragh maiden and we might try and win another with her."
