The prominent ones in the betting dominated in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle, Vicangelome (7/2) getting the better of Tudor City (7/4) at Naas by half a length.

The Robert Tyner-trained and John Fitzpatrick-ridden Vicangelome jumped the last better than Tudor City and that helped him to land the spoils.

"I was disappointed with his jumping the last day. Something came across him at one of the early fences and I was surprised that he jumped poorly after that," said Tyner.

"We decided to switch him to hurdles and, while he'd want a bit further than that, we thought two miles around here would be far enough. He'll mix it now between hurdles and fences."
