Ocean Glandore rallied well to win the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Chase under Darragh O'Keefe.

The 10-year-old gelding was following up on a recent success in Limerick.

The 7/2 favourite had to battle hard to see off 7/1 shot Holly Flight by three parts of a length as the pair pulled 21 lengths clear of Blottos (7/1).

Trainer Denis Hogan said: “Darragh gave him a good spin. They went very hard up front, and he stuck at it well. He’s pushing on in years but if anything he’s improving. He missed a year with injury and it’s good to get him back like that.

“I’ve had great success with these lads (Lostwelton Syndicate, from Monivea). It’s my 13th winner for them between two horses - this lad and Youcantcallherthat. They are a proper sporting syndicate who really enjoy it.

“We’ll see what the handicapper does. He might get an entry in the Galway Blazers but he’d need a penalty to get in. He has loads of options and can go back hurdling too.”
