The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares bumper at Cork provided cheer and anguish in equal measure for bookmakers and punters respectively as Treasure Mountain recorded a 33/1 shock 33/1 on debut.
Trained near Horse And Jockey by Toppy Corcoran for his daughter Una, the outsider (paid 84.40 on the Tote) got the better of well-backed 3/1 favourite Dalouga after a protracted battle in the straight.
Stephen Connor, who is based with Timmy Hyde, rode his second winner here on the daughter of Mountain High, while Lisa O’Neill lost her whip on the favourite inside the final furlong.
A head was the winning margin, with a gap of six and a half lengths back to Alletrix in third.
