Transcending Glory reverted to maiden company to open his account at the sixth attempt in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden at Dundalk.
Trained by Johnny Murtagh for the Kildare Racing Club, the son of Cotai Glory was well supported on track from 100/30 into 9/4.
Ben Coen ’s mount broke well and proceeded to make all, coming wide early in the straight over to the favoured stand side.
He kept on well under pressure inside the final furlong to beat the 6/5 favourite Spanish Cara by a length. Gaenari kept on one pace a further half-a-length away in third.
Coen said, "He ran well here towards the backend of last year and he ran around a bit with me that day, so I was keen to get the rail up the straight.
"To be fair, he kept finding for me for pressure and I think there would be no problem getting another furlong or two.
"He's bred to want a little bit further, so probably in time you'll see him at seven furlongs or a mile."
