The Find Us On Facebook Beginners Chase is the clear stand-out event on Tramore's evening card and hopefully the forecast rain will arrive to ensure as many of the big guns as possible take part.
The Henry De Bromhead-trained Viconte Du Noyer already has an eyecatching chase rating, with a mark of 132, but some of the newcomers to this discipline certainly have the potential to at least match such a level.
John McConnell 's Orgilgo Bay is currently assessed as a 137 performer over flights and at 85 on the level, so he plainly could be exciting at this job if carrying his ability across.
It is encouraging to note that his half-brother, Third Intention, is a more than useful chaser for Colin Tizzard.
Among the opposition Punchestown Festival scorer Avant Tout is already a course winner, having taken a maiden hurdle on New Year's Day, but he perhaps wants more than two miles to be seen at his very best.
It will be interesting to see how the likes of Mumbo Bay and The Winkler get on here, too. The latter's trainer, Eoin Doyle, is a man to have on your side at this venue, and he is well-represented throughout the day.
Doyle's St Peter's Square can be right on the premises in the opening Launch Of The August Racing Festival 13th To 16th Maiden Hurdle.
Similar comments apply to his two in the Graun Hill Suite Perfect For Parties Handicap Hurdle, Chakisto and Cliffside Park as well as Corrigs who was a useful pointer and hunter chaser and debuts for the yard in the Tramore Racecourse Supporters Club Maiden Hurdle.
Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh, who combine with Avant Tout, will justifiably have their followers elsewhere, too. Childrens List landed his bumper at Tramore last month and the half-brother to dual Grade One scorer Schindlers Hunt is not going to be easily beaten in Corrigs' race.
