Outsider Trachonitus was the 10/1 winner of the Curragh's five-runner Bet €10 Get €20 At Novibet Nursery today, scoring on handicap debut for trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning.

Held up in last, the son of Teofilo eventually battled well when beating 6/5 favourite Immutable by half a length.

Afterwards Manning reported “he’d some good runs in maidens and I thought he’d a very good run in Leopardstown. It was his first time in a handicap and he grinded it out well and stayed going to the line.

“He’s a big strong horse and hopefully he keeps improving.”
