Little Nugget easily justified 1/3 favouritism to win the Tote Free Raceday Tickets Maiden Hurdle on her reappearance run at Limerick, scoring for Champion Trainer Willie Mullins and completing a double for his stable Champion Jockey Paul Townend.

The daughter of Daylami was 'long' at the second last flight and got in tight to the last but never came off the bridle in her six and a half lengths win over Amor Verdadero

Mullins wasn't present and afterwards Townend, who won the opener on Archer's Up said “she had a good cut at the second last, but the leap she threw at it showed she had plenty left in the locker to get away with it.

“I was a bit surprised about how she picked up from the bend and went over the last two. She has probably improved from last year and will probably go further in time if she has to."
