Title rivals lock horns in valuable Guinness Handicap

Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins are responsible for seven of the 18 runners in the Guinness Handicap Chase on day two of the Punchestown Festival.
The two-and-a-half-mile contest boasts 100,000 euro in prize-money and Elliott sends out Clarcam Lord Scoundrel The Paparrazi Kid and Jetstream Jet in pursuit of a share of the riches.
Title rival Mullins has three in opposition with Polidam Patricks Park and Demi Sang all lining up, while Colin Tizzard sends Shanahans Turn and Viconte Du Noyer and Harry Whittington runs Cold March Tintangle was a Listed winner for Elliott at Fairyhouse last week and she bids for a quick double in the Weatherbys General Stud Book Irish EBF Mares Flat Race.
The Grade Three heat also features Black Tears from the Elliott yard but Mullins will also hope to be in the mix with Colreevy Getoutameway, Masons Daughter and Sapphire Lady
Jessica Harrington ’s Largy Glory is another notable candidate along with Dani Theatre who returns for Mags Mullins after winning a bumper back in 2015.
Cheltenham fourth Sire Du Berlais could be a leading player in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel Hurdle, while Brave Out and Thirsty Work lead the way in the Adare Manor Opportunity Series Final Handicap Hurdle.
