Scarpeta goes for another Jim Strang & Sons Kilsheelan (Peugeot) Hurdle at Clonmel today

The going at Clonmel is now described as heavy following a further 3mm of rain and there's light rain at present at Powerstown Park. Action for today's 7 race card is set to commence at 12.30.
As it is widespread around the country cold conditions persist at Clonmel with further showers this morning.
They are due to clear this afternoon and highlight of the day is the Jim Strang & Sons Kilsheelan (Peugeot) Hurdle. Burrows Saint the 2019 Irish Grand National hero, and Scarpeta give Willie Mullins a strong hand here.
Scarpeta won this three miler two years back and David Mullins takes the reins today. Stable jockey Paul Townend is on Burrows Saint.
Runner-up in this staying test twelve months ago, Mary Frances is back to do battle again for Martin Hassett.
Rachael Blackmore rides the only mare in the line-up.
