The Willie Browne-trained Stormy Entry just prevailed at the line in a cracking finish to the mile winners' race at Dundalk this evening. Cash Out looked set to score after taking a narrow lead from front-runner Angel Above over a furlong from home.

He was just denied at the line, however, as Seamie Heffernan got a good tune from 7/4 shot Stormy Entry late on to pip his rival by a short-head on a bob of the heads.

The winner was recording back-to-back successes at the track having landed a similar race over seven furlongs last month.

Browne said: "I didn't think he was up now, to be honest.

"I'm pleased, but I wish it was a bit more clear-cut - a win is a win.

"He's tough and he stays well. He was up a furlong, but I think he will get further.

"I don't think they went that quick early on and maybe he didn't settle that good.

"He (Seamie) likes him, he always did. He likes him at home.

"He'll probably come back here for the Listed race next month - he's probably not good enough, but that will be the plan."
