Pat Fahy's Stormy Belle shot out of the pack to take the fillies' handicap in Cork under Declan McDonogh.
She was fully eighth over two furlongs out before being switched out by McDonogh. The Dandy Man filly was ridden under two furlongs out and made rapid headway to third at the furlong pole.
Tobbaco Bay and A Little Bit Me were well within her sights and she swept by them inside the final furlong and readily stretched away on the soft ground to score by two and a quarter lengths at 8/1.
Seamie Heffernan and Tobacco Bay came home second at 13/2 with A Little Bit Me (12/1) in third.
Pat Fahy said: "I was so confident going to Galway but when Leigh told me the story (of the race) I was happy enough. She proved today she was entitled to be there anyway.
"It was a nice pot and it was the reason I put her into the race and it worked out well.
"I have her well entered up and, while she is in a Listed race at the Curragh, it is also easy to change to another handicap. Without doubt she'll have no problem getting black-type one day."
Stormy Belle finished fifth to Jet Streaming in Galway last week.
