Ellmarie Holden recorded her second winner in as many days, as Dancingwith Storms eased to victory in the opener at Cork this evening, the Summer BBQ Evenings Maiden Hurdle.

A good fourth to Sizing Pottsie on debut at Leopardstown in March, the son of New Approach then disappointed at Thurles in the race won by Young Ted.

Making his debut over flights today, the chestnut four-year-old proved easy to back, going off a 10/1 chance (9/2 in early shows and from 8s on-course) under Rachael Blackmore.

Settled behind the leaders, he jumped well throughout and came with his challenge before the third last.

He hit the front shortly after that flight and stretched clear before the last, going on to score easily by eleven lengths in the colours of Holden's mother Catherine. Baboin (20/1) kept on well to take second under Bryan Cooper for Paul Nolan, while Freedom Chimes (4/1) was another four lengths away in third for Danny and Mag Mullins.

The well-backed Dancing On My Own (5s to 3s) finished fifth, while the 5/4 favourite (from 11/8) Sometimes A Fox was a disappointing seventh.

Holden, who was on the mark with Elusive In Paris at Clonmel yesterday, said afterwards: "He was a bit disappointing when he ran in a bumper a couple of weeks ago but but the ground didn't really suit ideally so we weren't sure what to expect coming down here today but it worked out well.

"He is a lovely horse and will come on an awful lot from his run today. The flat is an option but the four year old hurdle at Galway wouldn't be a bad idea either."

The winner cost just E12,000 as a three-year-old, and is out of a Group 3 winner in Mad About You.

STEWARDS REPORTS

The Stewards fined Michael J. McDonagh, trainer, E350 for failing to lodge the passport in respect of Getaway Gold, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Getaway Gold.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sometimes A Fox (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

D.N. Russell, rider of Sometimes A Fox (GB), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount got very tired.

P.T. Enright, rider of Turpin Tale (GB), trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran keen early on, met with interference at the second last and disappointed thereafter.
