State Actor benefitted from a well-judged ride by Chris Hayes to take the Tote Now Online At Tote.ie Maiden at odds of 15/2 in the Curragh.
This 23-runner mile event was blown apart as Beaumadier soon built up a huge lead and was still at least 15 lengths clear over three furlongs out.
However, the front-runner ran out of steam well over a furlong out at which point State Actor struck the front and soon quickened clear.
The Bill Farrell-trained gelding, placed on both previous outings on the polytrack at Dundalk, kept on well inside the final furlong to beat the staying on Uncanny by two lengths with Wisdomofhindsight a further two and a quarter lengths back in third.
Farrell said, "He has a very good pedigree and we like him but I wasn't sure about the ground.
“I was hoping we would have an edge in fitness having been to Dundalk.
“The one in front left me nervous and Chris said he got there too soon, he said it took him a while to pull him up and he likes him a lot.
“I hope to turn him into euros but we'll see. Gary Davis bred him, the mare had been disappointing but is very well bred and Raven's Pass is a good stallion.”
