Jim Bolger registered his first success since the retirement of stable jockey Kevin Manning, as Soilse made the breakthrough on her tenth start in the irishinjuredjockeys.com Fillies' Maiden.

Having gone close on a number of occasions, the Teofilo bay was well-fancied to get off the mark this evening and was sent off the 2/1 favourite.

Settled in mid-division by Rory Cleary, she was pushed along from early in the straight and soon took closer order.

Ridden in fourth over a furlong from home, she kept on best in the closing stages and got to the front inside the final 100 yards, going on to score by half-a-length.

Treble seeking Colin Keane had to settle for second aboard debutant Evidently So (10/3) for Ger Lyons, while fellow newcomer Riverina Charm (5/1) was another half-a-length away in third.

"Her last run here was very pleasing when she travelled well and acted on the surface," Cleary said.

"The boss was more than happy to send her here again today over the same trip. She travelled lovely throughout the race and went to them nice and easy and went to the line strong.

"They were tussling away in front of her and we were happy to take a lead for as long as we could. To be fair, when I asked her the question, she went forward really well for me.

"It is only her second time on the surface, her first attempt on it was a great run as she was only beaten a head and a neck. I think she has stepped forward a little bit from the last day as well.

"We'll see what is coming up for her."

N.M. Crosse, rider of Try Hard (GB) trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right throughout.

D. McMonagle, rider of Selador trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.
