Pat Smullen won The Duco Ventilation & Sun Control Nursery aboard the Jimmy Coogan trained Running Flame owned by James Poyton and Alex Dick.

Jimmy Coogan commented, "We gave him a good chance, he ran well at Bellewstown but the ground was a bit lively for him. We hope to maybe go for another nursery with him depending on what the handicapper does with him. He is owned by my father in-law James Poyton and Alex Dick who is from Scotland and works as an engineer over here."
