Indian Grey (8/1) notched her fourth win at Dundalk, and sixth in total, when taking the first division of the seven-furlong handicap under Jack Kearney.
A little slowly away, the winner had a wide trip but moved into contention travelling well early in the straight and led over a furlong out. She wasn't troubled from that point and came home two and a quarter lengths ahead of Royal Tribute The 11/8 favourite Arcanears never threatened to take a hand in the finish before making late gains into third.
Owned by the yard's longtime patron Ray Moore, seven-year-old Indiana Grey is trained by Pat Martin who said: "She has been threatening to win since she won in Cork. She has invariably been getting poor draws and I always think she is better if she has a rail to run against.
"Jack got her away well, she travelled really well today and as well as I'd ever seen her travel, and picked up great.
"I'm so pleased for Jack, he was with me when he was a 12-year-old and they lived in Navan for a long time and then they moved to Castletown and he went to ride out for Noel Meade.
"I've been giving him a good few spins lately and that's his first winner for me. He's a lovely young fella and he's got a good talent. He's very promising. I think he is halfway through his 7lb claim and he is an astute rider, good hands and he is getting stronger all the time.
"I will of course (give him more opportunities), I've always tried to look out for a guy on the up - Mikey Sheehy and Dylan (Browne McMonagle) before that. If you can identify them early enough, they can reward you."
