Sitcom showed her turn of foot when landing Cork’s two mile handicap chase for Christy Roche and Alan Crowe.

She was swiftly brought into the race from fourth to dispute the lead between the third last and second last fences. She then took over on her own at the second last and maintained the lead after the final fence in holding well-backed Rafi De Triana by five lengths.

The winner was returned at 10/1 and the runner-up was 7/2 from 11/2 in the morning and 9/2 on opening show. Beckwith Star the 11/4 favourite, finished 22 lengths off the winner in fourth.

Sitcom was a previous course winner, but was making her seasonal debut after being off-track for 208 days.
