Sir Vincent too good for Tramore rivals

Sat 1st Jan 2011, 13:04

Sir Vincent may have been easy to back but he nonetheless got the job done in the Richard Barron Memorial Maiden Hurdle at Tramore.

The Norwich gelding didn't jump well but that didn't stop him from leading before the second last under Patrick Mullins and he went on to comfortably defeat Beckwith Star by six lengths.

Best backed horse in the race was Mayo Mystique (3/1 into 15/8) and she made the running until headed by the winner.

Willie Mullins trains Sir Vincent for Hugh Beggs.
