Sir Bob reverted back to hurdles to run out an easy winner of the Velvet Cap Handicap Hurdle at Cork.
The Robert Tyner trained veteran, last seen when finishing second over fences at at Limerick last month, was always travelling strongly at the head of affairs and never looked like surrendering the lead. Martha Divine was the only one to throw down any sort of meaningful challenge but a slight mistake at the second last put paid to her chances.
The JP McManus owned ten-year-old looked stronger the further he went and really looked to be enjoying conditions.
Jockey Philip Enright said; "he is a frustrating horse and it is only his second win ever. He loved the conditions and jumped great and it was one of those days if you handle the conditions, it is worth a lot to you.
"I didn't even look back and didn't hear anything coming so didn't have to panic."
