Shane Shortall looks set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a suspected broken collarbone at Down Royal this evening.
The promising claimer has enjoyed a fine summer including victory on Road To Riches in the Galway Plate.
He rode a double at Bellewstown last night and had also claimed the feature event on this evening's card aboard Pires
His mount in the Walkers Snacks Handicap Hurdle, Rockshandy took a crashing fall at the third last flight.
Initial reports suggested the 5lb claimer had broken his right collarbone.
