Sher leaves nothing to chance in feature
Andrew McNamara's comment that she jumped unreal was certainly on the mark as he unsaddled Sherchanceit the two and a half length victor of the Dawn Milk Handicap Hurdle for Tallow, County Waterford trainer, Mary O'Connor.
Making all in this seven runner field, Sherchanceit pinged her hurdles up the straight as she was pressed by Total Excitement and she crossed the line two and a half lengths in front. Dolphin Bay the favourite, made a mistake five out and he couldn't get to the leaders, finishing five lengths back in third.
Mrs. O'Connor commented: "She doesn't settle too well and Andrew heard there might not be much pace on so he asked us could he make it. She's difficult if you hold her up, so if he you leave her off in front she relaxes. We thought the ground was gone too soft for her but obviously not.
"We hope to go to Galway now for a handicap hurdle that comes up before the Plate."
For McNamara this was a 24th winner of the season and it leaves him 10 clear of Paul Carberry at the top of the National Hunt riders list.
