The Willie Mullins trained Shakervilz justified favouritism when running out an impressive 14 length winner of The Rock Of Cashel Hurdle under Paul Townend in the colours of Thomas Gilligan.

Townend settled his mount in behind the leader, joined the leader from the fifth, clear travelling well approaching straight and kept on to win to impressively.

Mullins commented afterwards, "I'm delighted with that, we'll go for another similar type hurdle with him next. He will stay hurdling for the season as he seems to be good at it. There's a hurdle in Navan in 3 weeks time that we might go for."
