Samcro's half-brother Think Positive made a winning jumps debut at Tramore today as the Willie Mullins trained gelding landed the Definite Ruby Maiden Hurdle under Champion Jockey Paul Townend.

Think Positive is out of Dun Dun and by Jeremy and while he failed to win in three bumper starts, today made all when beating Roney by three and a quarter lengths.

Afterwards Champion Trainer Mullins stated “he likes jumping better than he likes bumpers and he is a very slick jumper. From the first time we jumped him he showed us he had a great aptitude for jumping and I think he won't have any problem going out in trip either.

“He gallops and really hurdles well and hopefully he'll make a better hurdle horse than bumper horse. He'll go down the winners' novice route and I think he'll handle soft ground too.

“He is a lovely looking horse and hopefully he will improve as the winter goes on.”
