The Meadowview Stables Race saw Geometrical (5/1) gain a second career success in the hands of Kevin Manning.

The Dawn Approach gelding chased a strong pace and came through to head Nebo over a furlong out. From that point he was untroubled and came home two and three quarter lengths ahead of Maud Gonne Spirit

The winner beat the high-class Mogul in a maiden at two and was Group 2-placed on his next start, but has been quite lightly-raced since that juvenile campaign.

Una Manning, representing winning trainer Jim Bolger, said: “He’s going to the Horses-In-Training Sale in October and there is plenty of mileage left in him.

“The drop back in trip suited him and he travelled very well throughout the race. He quickened up very nicely and won well.”
