Backed from 25/1 into 14/1 Storm Has Broken successfully graduated to handicap company on start four in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Nursery (Plus 10 Race).
Leigh Roche went for home from early in the straight on the Lilbourne Lad gelding.
Roche's faith in his mount was well justified as he kept up the gallop to hold 'the finisher,' So Enjoy by half a length.
It was three parts of a length back to Piper Bomb in third, whilst favourite Smiling Eliza was just out of the placings, a neck back in fourth.
"He did everything right there tonight. He's a hardy little devil and he'd go through anything for you," said Bunyan.
"He was a horse that was bought for a syndicate and thankfully the lads are here tonight and having a great night.
"He's in the sales on Tuesday at Goffs as the syndicate has run it's course now.
"He's a horse that someone is going to have a lot of fun with as he's well handicapped and he could run away here all winter."
R.P. Cleary, rider of Itschessnotchekers trained by Noel Lawlor, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
