Sales appearance up in the air for Golazo after Tramore win

Very easy to back he may have been but Golazo (9/4 out to 7/2) made a victorious debut over the larger obstacles in the Waterford Greenway Beginners Chase at Tramore.
Willie Mullins’ Beat Hollow gelding, in the hands of the trainer’s nephew David, generally impressed with his fencing.
The bumper scorer reached for the last but he looked like he was getting the upper hand on First Class Return when that fellow slithered on landing.
It was only a matter of how far from there home for Golazo. He finished sixteen lengths clear with fifteen lengths to third across the line, Getaday
Said Willie Mullins on the Closutton home-bred: “He’s bred to jump and stay and that’s what he did and why I stuck him into this race for horses that had not won over hurdles.
“He’s in the Sales next week but I’m not sure if he’ll go now or not. Stamina and jumping are his two attributes so it paid off today.”
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Roney trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
