Sadies Trix (12s out to 20/1) won the Suir Blueway Handicap Hurdle under a confident steer from Kevin Sexton.

The Flemensfirth mare, who had shown a little more on her most recent start in maidens, was travelling well behind the leaders turning in to face the second last and came through to challenge at the last.

She led on landing over that final flight and ran on to beat Glebe Girl (11/1) by two lengths. Influential Lady (12/1) was another length and a half back in third, a place ahead of the 3/1 favourite Shedding

Sexton, who was riding his 11th winner of the season on the Peter Fahey-trained winner, said: "She was open to improvement as she had a break after her last run and obviously strengthened up a bit but it was a poor race. She travelled and jumped and did it well enough in the end.

"I didn't think she would go on the ground but she is by Flemensfirth so handled it better than others and she'll will improve again."
