Foley was prominent on Ringned throughout, led two out, before staying on gamely on the run-in for a head win over top weight Piper's Knowe

Afterwards trainer Tom Foley reported “we've been waiting two years for that type of fast ground and he was overdue the win. He'll run next at Gowran on Saturday, if right.”

The win was amateur jockey Pat Foley's third winner and his second over hurdles.
