Going Remote shed his maiden tag at the most opportune time, landing the valuable BoyleSports Ulster Derby under Nathan Crosse for Jessica Harrington.

Second on recent starts at Fairyhouse and Navan respectively, the Kodiac gelding was sent off an 11/2 chance this afternoon, racing in the colours of the Blessingndisguise Partnership.

Pushed along from the stalls and settled in rear, the 80-rated victor took closer order on the outer with over two-furlongs to race.

Soon ridden, he edged to the front inside the final 200 yards and drew clear in the closing stages, coming home two-lengths to the good.

The Natalia Lupini-trained Barnso (6/1) filled the runner-up spot under Wesley Joyce, while Tamrat (7/2) was another length and three quarters away in third.

Sent off the 2/1 favourite, the Aidan O'Brien-trained Psalm faded inside the final two furlongs and eventually finished last under Gavin Ryan.

"I rode him previously in Navan and we thought he would get the trip - obviously, he did there today," Crosse reflected.

"I thought he travelled around a lot sweeter than what he did, but we went a good gallop and luckily they came back to him and he was very good and game there today.

"I couldn't fault him at all, very happy.

"A nice way (to lose his maiden tag) and, in fairness to him, he has been knocking on the door. He has been a little bit tricky, but they gelded him and he has put it all together today and he has done the job well.

"I just gave him a chance because, as I said, over a mile and a-quarter he travelled well,so I thought he would travel well today. We were going along and he got into his comfort zone, he came down the hill and got rolling and hit the line well.

"I'm delighted to get that. Shane (Foley) is obviously suspended there today. He had a light weight and it was great to get the call-up and to deliver."

STEWARDS REPORT

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Psalm, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
